This hands-on educational program was designed for transplant surgeons specializing in organ procurement. Participants gained direct experience in abdominal organ retrieval and explored a wide range of critical topics, including ethical and legal frameworks, organ allocation systems, DBD/DCD programs, extended criteria donors, retrieval techniques, and machine perfusion methods.
In my presentation titled “Management of Kidney Paired Donation and Highly Sensitized Patients,” I had the opportunity to share clinical insights with colleagues from around the world.
