From September 14 to 17, 2025, I served as Scientific Chair of the “Advanced Surgical Techniques” section at the 7th Kidney Transplantation Masterclass, held in Istanbul and jointly organized by the Turkish Transplant Foundation and the International Transplant Network. This four-day program brought together leading transplant surgeons and nephrologists from Europe, the United States, and the Middle East, with live surgical broadcasts from three university hospitals and interactive case-based discussions.
As Chair, I led sessions focused on endoscopic and retroperitoneoscopic donor nephrectomy, robotic kidney transplantation, and surgical innovation in complex cases. I also contributed lectures on:
Transitioning from hand-assisted laparoscopy to retroperitoneal Access
Robotic techniques in kidney transplantation
Artificial intelligence applications in transplant surgery
Emergency algorithms for intraoperative bleeding during laparoscopy
In addition to moderating interactive “Question Box” panels and complication-focused case discussions, I participated in live surgical broadcasts from Bahçeşehir University Medical Park Göztepe Hospital and Koç University Hospital, highlighting advanced
donor nephrectomy and robotic transplant procedures. This masterclass continues to serve as a collaborative platform for refining surgical practice, sharing institutional experience, and advancing transplant education across borders.
